Strategic Key Account Manager
J&A Freight Systems is seeking a Strategic Key Account Manager to support and grow the transportation program of a large Fortune 500 customer.
This team-based role will lead the onboarding of new suppliers into J&A's logistics network. The Key Account Manager will coordinate onboarding requirements, establish operating procedures, resolve implementation issues, and ensure suppliers are prepared to begin shipping successfully.
The ideal candidate has four or more years of logistics or freight brokerage experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to build strong relationships across customer, supplier, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead new suppliers through onboarding, including documentation, system setup, training, operating procedures, and launch preparation.
- Serve as the primary supplier contact during implementation and communicate program requirements clearly.
- Establish onboarding timelines, track milestones, and resolve issues that could delay implementation.
- Coordinate with the customer and J&A's operations, carrier sales, accounting, and technology teams.
- Support the internal handoff of newly onboarded suppliers to the ongoing account team.
- Track supplier participation, shipment activity, service performance, and opportunities for program growth.
- Provide regular updates on onboarding progress, risks, results, and next steps.
- Recommend improvements that make supplier onboarding more efficient and scalable.
- Participate in customer meetings, performance reviews, and account-planning discussions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Four or more years of experience in freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, supplier onboarding, or account implementation.
- Working knowledge of LTL transportation and supply chain operations is important.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and adapt to ever-changing priorities to meet required deadlines.
